Summary of Team Charter

The Guest Interface to Services Team, part of the In-Room Technology Workgroup, is working on providing guest services by exposing business applications to the guest via interfaces such as the TV, HSIA portal, telephone or portable device. The Team is also planning to produce use cases, architecture and web service messages required to produce a functional guest self-service architecture.

Business Benefits

  • Increased revenue through direct guest access, visualization of services, and up-selling opportunities for hotel provided services such as:
    • Room service
    • Spa reservations
    • Restaurant reservations
    • Health club & golf
  • Improved guest service through presentation & relevant information such as guest itinerary.
  • Low cost marketing opportunities by presentation of hotel & brand information.

Meeting Schedule

This workgroup never fully launched, and is now retired and not meeting.

Current Project(s)

This team is currently dormant. Most of the exisiting Team members are also participating on the Entertainment Device Control Team and have prioritized that project for the time being.
